Peek at My "Let It Be Easy" Content System

Why I Needed a Better System

Every business owner knows that social media content is the necessary evil that we MUST do, but unless you’re a content creator or digital marketer, it’s not often that we think of it as ‘easy.’ There was a long stretch of my career where I'd have full intentions of posting something... and then boom, the day would disappear into client work, pickups, or trying to remember what I walked into the kitchen for. Sound familiar?

Between building CoHo, juggling the kids’ sports, and keeping up with life, I realized I didn’t need more ideas—I needed a system to actually execute them. Even imperfectly.

And that’s how the "Let It Be Easy" system was born.

What This System Is (and Isn’t)

This isn’t a content calendar that tries to micromanage your voice. It’s a tool to make showing up easier. It gives structure without pressure and works for both my personal brand and CoHo.

The heart of it is this: Done is better than perfect. Showing up consistently beats overthinking every post.

The Core Pillars

1. Know What You’re About

Before I could systemize anything, I had to figure out what I actually wanted to say. For me, content generally fits into a few key buckets:

  • Business Growth

  • Motherhood & Balance

  • Wellness & Ease

  • Real Talk

  • Behind-the-Scenes

Having these in place means I’m never staring at a blank page wondering what to post about. In general I like to assign a day to each pillar, but sometimes I shuffle them around.

2. Batch (Without the Pressure)

Every week (usually Friday with iced coffee and my AirPods), I carve out about 90 minutes to:

  • Brain-dump ideas from the week

  • Choose 3–4 that fit my mood and goals

  • Draft quick captions or bullet points

  • Drop it into my Notion content board

  • Actually post it, usually from my phone, on the day I’ve scheduled it for.

That’s it. No fancy software. No designer on standby. Just me, a system, and the permission to do it well enough.

3. The Notion Dashboard

I built a Notion dashboard that keeps me organized and focused. It includes:

  • A Content Idea Bank (tagged by pillar and format: email, Instagram, etc.)

  • A Weekly Content Calendar (so I can see the week at a glance)

  • A Post Archive (handy when I want to reuse something that worked)

It’s simple but powerful—and it keeps me out of reactive "what should I post today?" mode.

What’s Not Included (on Purpose)

You won’t find:

  • A repurpose tracker (I just grab old posts when I need them)

  • A CEO check-in (mine lives in a separate system)

  • Swipe files or a promo calendar (this is more about visibility than launches)

This tool isn’t meant to do everything—it’s meant to help you actually use it.

Why It Works (for Me)

This system:

  • Helps me stay visible without burnout

  • Makes content feel like a creative outlet, not another chore

  • Works across both my personal brand and The Coworking House

  • Leaves space for imperfection—because life doesn’t always go as planned

If you’ve ever thought, “I just need a simple system to help me post more consistently,” this is it.
